The second of Jim’s ongoing Deep Energy series, takes the listener on a more varied sound excursion through the world of Deep Energy. With the first Deep Energy recording, the listener floated on a subdued and sublime sixty minute journey through a minimal synthesized landscape, where sounds were barely interacting with each other. By contrast, Deep Energy 2 is a more aware recording, where hearing and knowing come together, a sonic union divided into 4 separate soundscapes, each one similar to the next, but with subtle differences to enhance repeat listenings. The sound flows from speaker to speaker, like a panoramic soundfield that has no walls or boundaries, where light and dark merge to become one.
